Spotted at the Limbe International December Tournament 2025 in the U-18 category, this young offensive midfielder from Buea United amazed the audience with his style of the game.
A true play maker on the field, 16-year-old Jong stood out for his fine technique and remarkable insight into the game. His creativity, allied with precise passes, allows him to boost his team’s game and create goal opportunities.
Jong dribbles with mind blowing agility and has excellent control of the ball, which allows him to navigate between opposing defenders easily.
What impresses most about Jong is his tactical maturity, rare for a player his age. He knows where to stand to receive the ball and how to orient the game to the needs of his team. However, like any young player, he still needs to work on his fitness and power in order to become a complete player able to compete at the highest level.
Despite his team’s early elimination in the tournament, Jong was able to shine through his talent and potential. He is a player to follow closely in the coming years. With adequate coaching and flawless determination, his progress will be exceptional, which will bring us a name of more in our local football.
The future looks bright for this young talent, and we can’t wait to see what he holds in the seasons ahead.
